I create collaborative works in Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, and Modern dance, weaving narratives that challenge and empower dancers. My process begins in the studio, generating movement phrases that dancers augment, shaping choreography to reflect their unique strengths. Inspired by storytelling, music, and the dancers themselves, I craft movement that merges individual artistry with collective expression, creating compelling, dynamic performances.
I teach to witness and support student growth, especially those transformative “aha” moments. My approach blends modeling, scaffolding, and critical thinking to foster independence and engagement. I prioritize connection and adaptability, adjusting lessons to meet diverse needs and using self-assessment to encourage reflection. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, inspired, and seen. My goal is for each student to leave class having learned something and feeling successful. As both Artist and Craftsperson, I guide learning with creativity, care, and a commitment to continuous growth.
